The NETA Acceptance Testing Specifications was developed for use by those responsible for assessing the suitability for initial energization of electrical power equipment and systems and to specify field tests and inspections that ensure these systems and apparatus perform satisfactorily, minimizing downtime and maximizing life expectancy.
Use the ANSI/NETA ATS 2013 as a guide when specifying and performing the necessary tests to ensure that your electrical systems and apparatus not only meet your project specifications, but that the manufacturer of the equipment supplied you with a product that will perform safely and reliably for many years to come.
Acceptance tests are not manufacturers factory tests. They comprise those tests necessary to determine that the electrical equipment has been selected in accordance with the engineer’s requirements, installed in accordance with applicable codes and installation standards, and perform in accordance with their design and setting parameters. The ANSI/NETA Standard for Acceptance Testing Specifications for Electrical Power Equipment and Systems assists designers, specifiers, architects, and users of electrical equipment and systems in specifying required tests on newly-installed power systems and apparatus, before energizing, to ensure that the installation and equipment comply with specifications and intended use as well as with regulatory and safety requirements.
1. GENERAL SCOPE
1. These specifications cover the suggested field tests and inspections that are available to assess the suitability for initial energization and final acceptance of electrical power equipment and systems.
2. The purpose of these specifications is to assure that tested electrical equipment and systems are operational, are within applicable standards and manufacturer’s tolerances, and are installed in accordance with design specifications.
3. The work specified in these specifications may involve hazardous voltages, materials, operations, and equipment. These specifications do not purport to address all of the safety issues associated with their use. It is the responsibility of the user to review all applicable regulatory limitations prior to the use of these specifications.

Product DetailsThe 2013 Edition of the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) will be available mid-July.
Weight: 8 lbs 8 ozs
NBIC National Board Inspection Code 2013 (NBIC 2013)covers boiler and pressure vessels and required for ASME stamp holders and repair firms as well as inspections.
The NBIC is an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited standard and provides rules and guidelines for the installation, inspection, repair and alteration of boilers, pressure vessels and pressure relief devices. It is required in many United States and Canadian jurisdictions.
The NBIC has a long history of setting jurisdictional standards in North America from Cities, States and Canadian Providences. The NBIC 2013 is an International Standard and as expressed a longtime North American National Standard.
The NBIC 2013 is also known as the National Board Inspection Code or the NBIC. The NBIC 2013 edition replaces the NBIC 2011 edition. Also, in 2011, the National Board of Boilers and Pressure Vessel Inspectors ceased the printing of addendums. This is a great improvement from earlier NBIC editions, but in the pre-1990 the NBIC was one-book consisting of boiler and pressure vessel installations, then inspection of boilers and pressure vessels as well as the repair and alterations of boilers and pressure vessel. The NBIC has come a long ways!
Today, the National Board Inspection Code 2013 edition continues to provide the same vital information to users of boilers and pressure vessels as in past year NBIC editions. As always, the new NBIC consist of the three parts: installation, inspection, and repairs and alterations. Each NBIC is bound. The National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) Parts:
Part 1 Installations of Boilers & Pressure Vessels
Part 2 Inspections of Boilers & Pressure Vessels
Part 3 Repairs and Alternations of Boilers & Pressure Vessels
The NBIC also known as the National Board of Boilers & Pressure Vessel Code is the premier post construction code book for boilers and pressure vessels worldwide and is constantly improving.
Important Note: All National Board Stamp Holders are required to have the complete National Board Inspection Code (NBIC 2013) set.

The 2nd edition of DIN Handbook 362 includes 60 European Standards (DIN EN and DIN EN ISO Standards) for dimensions of bolts and screws. Compared to the 1st edition 25 standards, especially those dealing with slotted head screws, hexagon head screws, cross recessed head screws and hexalobular socket head screws, have been revised. 15 standards (including DIN EN ISO 7380-2 and DIN EN ISO 12474 on hexagon socket head cap screws as well as three further parts of the DIN EN 14399 series on high-strength structural bolting assemblies) are new to this compilation.

Wiley is pleased to announce publication of the state-of-the-art, 6-volume Encyclopedia of Drug Metabolism and Interactions. This integrated reference collects otherwise scattered information on drug metabolism and interactions in one place for the first time. This book is a global effort, presenting more than 120 chapters by prominent authors from 11 different countries: USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Australia, Singapore, India, Japan, France, Denmark, and Switzerland.
Drug metabolism is the process of drug modification by the body. Specifically, it involves the study of enzymes that biochemically modify the drugs, how different drugs interact within the body, and how genetic and non-genetic factors, including genetic polymorphism, age, gender, diet, and disease state affect the way the body processes drugs and how drugs interact with each other. All of these factors mean that drug metabolism / interaction, and the chemical and biological aspects of metabolic transformations, are extremely important in new drug development.
The Encyclopedia of Drug Metabolism and Interactions discusses all preclinical, clinical, toxicological, chemical, regulatory, and marketing perspectives of drug metabolism and interactions. All aspects of drug metabolism and interactions are backed with a range of examples, in silico, in vitro, ex vivo, in laboratory animals, and in humans. The impact on drug metabolism of genetic differences and non-genetic factors, and of the types of enzymes that can be inhibited or induced, are described. This multi-volume encyclopedia also includes methods and detailed protocols describing how to perform studies of metabolism and drug interactions.
The Encyclopedia of Drug Metabolism and Interactions is an essential addition to all pharmaceutical, medical, and academic research libraries. Amongst the many users who will benefit from this 6-Volume Set are chemists, pharmacologists, pharmaceutical specialists, toxicologists, molecular biologists, and different levels of clinicians including practitioners and physicians. It is a must for researchers interested in all aspects of drug development.
Description
The Encyclopedia of Drug Metabolism and Interactions provides essential support during all phases of drug development, from drug design to drug action and interaction in patients.
This multivolume work covers both preclinical and clinical aspects of drug metabolism and interactions. It also provides a wealth of toxicological, regulatory, and marketing information, all written by leading international experts in the field. Using this reference you’ll discover:
• Enzymes that can be inhibited or induced and their impact on drug toxicity and altered response in both animal and human models
